Remembering Kristin

This year, the Children's family mourned the loss of our beloved Kristin Cox, CRNA, DNP, who passed away after a courageous nine-month battle with cancer.

Kristin was deeply cherished within her division and department and her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on the children and families she cared for across Mississippi. She approached her work with both clinical excellence and a genuine kindness that made patients, families and coworkers feel seen and supported during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Kristin's impact continues to be felt through a meaningful tribute donated in her honor, a beautiful painting that will hang in the Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PACU) at Children's of Mississippi.

The artwork was unveiled during a special gathering with her family, serving as a lasting reminder of Kristin's legacy and the care she brought to every child she served. In addition, her family has established a memorial scholarship in her name, ensuring that Kristin's commitment to service, learning, and compassion will continue to inspire future generations. While Kristin is profoundly missed, her life, her work, and the love she shared remain an enduring part of our Children's community.
